Miss Nelson is
Missing
|
|
| Miss Nelson is the nicest teacher in school and she teaches the kids
in Room 207 who are the worst kids in school. They spend all day
throwing spitballs, launching paper airplanes, giggling and refusing to
do any work. Then one morning Miss Nelson is mysteriously missing from
school. Taking her place is the meanest, most horrible, scariest
substitute in the whole world, Miss Viola Swamp! Realizing that it was
their own bad behavior that drove her away and desperate for her return,
her students start a search for the missing Miss Nelson. This colorful
and witty show is filled with fun musical numbers, rowdy students and
fast moving entertainment that will appeal to both kids and adults. |

The participant should know enough about their chosen culture or period
to be able to answer any questions posed by potential buyers/traders
interested in the commodity. |

The History of
Evergreen
|
|
Find out about the history of
Evergreen and surrounding areas. Each participant in this class
is asked to research some historical event or period that
influenced the development of Evergreen, Conifer, Kittredge,
Bergen Park or any other of the nearby foothills towns. The
participants will then give a brief presentation of their
findings to provide the other class members with some insight
into the history of the area we live in.

Pumpkin Carving and
Pot Luck Dinner
|
|
We do the pumpkin carving every year, but this year I thought that
it might be nice to combine it with a Halloween-themed pot luck dinner.
Bring along a pumpkin or two to carve (dozens of templates and tools
will be provided) and a halloween-themed dish to share. Perhaps we can
cap off the evening by watching one of the Scooby-Doo or Goosebumps
movies we have (in the Halloween spirit, but not too scary for the
kids). |

The Most Happy
Fella
|
|
The Evergreen Chorale proudly
presents Frank Loesser's masterpiece. The story revolves around the
complications that arise when Tony, an aging Italian vineyard owner,
proposes by mail to Rosabella, a young waitress who once served him
in a San Francisco restaurant. Rosabella has no recollection of
Tony, but after writing letters back and forth accepts his proposal,
largely because he has sent her a picture of Joe, his handsome ranch
hand.
MAHS member Stephen Cronk has a small part in this musical, he
is one of the dancers and in the chorus. It's Stephen's debut in the
Evergreen Chorale (adults), so look out for him!
Time: September 28
thru October 13
Place: Center Stage, Evergreen.
Price: $18 for adults, $9 for kids under 12.

Evergreen Chorale's
website. |
