Colorado History Classes

During May, June and July we will be continuing our series of classes on the History of Colorado from its earliest beginnings to the present day. With our study of the geography, pre-history and earliest peoples in our state under our belts, we will now be moving on to more recent native American Indian communities, and the natural history and ecology of the mountains and plains. For more information, contact Lucy Bauer (doublebeetlebass@aol.com) or Lisa Pettitt.

Natural History

In this class we will consider the different plant and animal communities that exist in Colorado - in distinct life zones ranging from semi-desert to alpine tundra. We will study the natural forces that have shaped the ecology of our state, such as fire, altitude and scarcity of water.

Time: Tuesday the 17th of June at 1pm
